Piazza del Popolo

The Egyptian obelisk was brought to Rome from Heliopolis in 10 BC by Augustus.  Three sides are carvings from Pharaoh Sety I and one side from Pharaoh Rameses II. This obelisk is the second oldest and one of the tallest obelisks in Rome.
