Church of the Nativity

The first church was built by St. Helena, Constantine's mother, in 339 AD.  It was raised and rebuilt by Emperor Justinian in 530 AD.

 

In 1852, the church became a shared responsibility among the Roman Catholic, Armenian and Greek Orthodox churches.
