Hattusa

Hattusa was the capital city of the Hittites, a civilization that flourished from about 1800 to 1100 BC.  The Hittites battled with Egypt in 274 BC, King Muwattalli II against Pharaoh Ramses II, neither won.  This did not stop both kingdoms from erecting monuments depicting themselves as victor.  It is not known where the Hittite people came from nor what happened to them after 1100 BC.
