Sagalassos

Looking down from Sagalassos.

Sagalassos became part of Pisidia in about 1500 BC.  In the Hellenistic period (post Alexander the Great, 333 - 25 BC), Sagalassos was the second most important Pisidian town.  Roman control of Pisidia started in 25 BC.  Later, under the direction of Emperor Hadrian,  the importance of Sagalassos was greatly increased.
